A law on disputes with entities and individuals subject to sanctions or due to sanction issues has been adopted

On 8 June 2020, the Russian President signed a law introducing to the Russian Arbitrazh Procedure Code provisions that have an effect on disputes:

• with Russian and foreign entities and individuals subject to foreign sanctions, i.e. if one of the parties to the dispute is eg a US specially designated national or EU blacklisted person (jointly – Blacklisted Persons); and
• arising out of sanctions against Russian Blacklisted Persons (Law).
